A sculpture of Our Lady of the Angels, on a carved hexagonal base, seated on clouds, surrounded by angels. In her right hand, she holds a small fruit, probably a cherry, revealing her eternal sweetness. In her lap, her Son.
This is a sculpture from a Portuguese workshop of the second half of the 18th century, which reveals full adherence to the Baroque gesture in the way it articulates a complex compositional structure and attempts broad gestures in the agitated posture of Our Lady and in the restless forms of the angels.
