Cross with cylindrical cross section, with spherical ends, decorated with undulating rays in relief, preceded by a valance with cut-out motifs of fleurs-de-lis chains and trimmed with delicate cordage. The symbols of the evangelists were placed on the tetramorphs of the vertical beam and the arms of the cross. The cross would have had on one of the faces, the figure of the Crucified Christ, of which only the holes for support are left, and two sections of the splendour, in the area above the junction of the upright and the arms. A canopy still exists, in a Gothic volumetric appliqué that would have held a relief image of the Virgin Mary.
The surface of the cross is smooth, and the node is a flattened sphere decorated with stylised floral motifs, arranged symmetrically. In the central section of the node, there are raised, rounded openings that framed appliqués of enamel cabochons, of which only one still exists, with the representation of a classical bust in profile, in blue and white.
This cross is identical to the processional cross of Villafeliz de Babia and very similar to the model of Villarodrigo de Las Regueras, in Spain1.
